Fibre broadband could cost £24.5bn

The cost of supplying super-fast broadband across the nation by installing fibre to the home could total at least £24.5bn, according to industry body the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG).

The latest estimates for a national fibre network are much higher than previous unofficial BT figures, which put the price as low as £15bn....[cont]
