Watched "Notes on a scandal" lastnight... Cate Blanchett and Judy Dench... both of them fantastic but maybe the film was a little dark for a lighthearted friday evening. Jessi and James found each other randomly on a photo-sharing website, Flickr.com, back in November of 2006. They started out as friends, chatting online in Flickr communities and through IM. After several months they began talking on the phone as well. Somewhere along the way they fell in love. Neither one was 'looking for love' or could tell you when or how it happened. But, thankfully, it did. One major obstacle to their romance is the 1400 miles separating them. And to further complicate things, Jessi lives in Canada, James in the US. Nobody said love was simple.James recently took a two week vacation to go to Canada and meet Jessi face to face. Things went wonderfully. Now that they truly know what they are missing, being apart is that much more difficult and painful. Friends suggest they try chipin.com to raise money to get Jessi to Kansas. Initially it will just be for a two week visit, but the long-term goal is to move her there so they can be together. THE SMURF
One of the guys here at work just came back from a 4 day stag do. Basically they rented a midget for the 4 days and handcuffed him to the stag. They painted the midget blue and dressed him like a smurf and the poor guy had to be handcuffed 24 hours of the day for 4days to the stag. The guys on the stag paid for all the midget's food and drink and paid for his flight etc (cost around GBP850 if you wanted to do the same) but the guy had to do everything with the stag....eat, drink, swim, shower, sleep, wee etc etc.This has got to be the funniest Stag prank I have ever seen....please can I just say that no midgets were harmed during the weekend.

...In other news, I ordered a 3G card for my macbookpro today. With a mobile phone connection from t-mobile, you can take advantage of a 10gb data package for £19.95 / month.. Considering that I pay £14 a month for internet at home and this gets me a static connection with a 4gb download allowance, as opposed to £20 for a fully (quad band) portable connection with a 10gb limit.. Hmmmm..

flickR, I spend a lot of time over there and one of the groups i'm part of is 07-07-07... the idea was to capture an image on 07-07-07 that had some meaning to you / London bombing reflections...etc Well, moving onto bigger things, there have been 7503 photos submitted so far and hopefully there will be 7769 by the time everyone has contributed (well, a couple missed out) but then, from there maybe to attempt to make a book and donate the proceeds to unicef... Does anyone have any thoughts on who to approach for something as mammoth a task as this? anyone?...

...So, just standing with 55000 other people waiting for the train... Genesis - old, unchanged... Rocked twickenham! Mighty impressed despite being the youngest person there! The stage was brilliant, a huge screen with moving lights and vid screens (the whole thing was a screen, but there were two main ones) the mix was what you'd expect of an 'aged' touring band.. Really good. Then there were fireworks mixed in with the lighting at the end... Worked really well. All in all a great show. Highlight... Maybe invisible touch?... Anyways, stood on twicks platform being herded like sheep, I'd show you but for the first time ..ever?... I don't have a camera.. Train o-clock, cyas... S
