Just tryin' to get through...

06:37 Train to Winchester... Out to a site today to install some kit, somewhere out west...

This mornings blog is brought to you by "Puccino's" coffee and a lot of will power... something I am not good at is getting out of bed, I always fight with myself while my alarm goes off "you don't really need to get up, do you... What if you just lay in bed a little while longer... Well, this morning was great... GREAT I tell you... I made it out of bed at 05:34 and into the shower, eyes hanging out of my head... Gathered my bits and pieces and headed out of the house... I had to get cash and as there ain't no teller near me, the tube at earls court was the closest... meant an unnecesary tube trip to west brompton, but, whatever... So, I get there - bags in tow - and pop my card into the machine, or, try to... card wont go in.. you know like when you're feeding a small child and he won't eat his food... the teeth are shut... yeah, it was like that. So, three machines.. I try another, sure enough.. card goes in - display doesn't change - no amount of button pressing will get my card back. at this point I am cursing the dreaded machine... I call the number on the front and give the poor person on the other end both barrels [I never was a single barrel kinda guy] they gently tell me that I need to call HSBC - I do and am answered by someone attempting humour in the morning, and, a bad australian / indian accent... gain, both barrels... he says - i'll have to stop your card - I tell him in no uncertain terms that he is not to stop my card, see, if he stops my card and I can't get it out of the machine then I am stuck, trapped like a rat... not able to get to my destination - I need cash for the cab 'cause I forgot to get petty cash yesterday.. Well, I am finishing my tirade when I look across at the other machine and my card has popped out - ten minutes later! -

I finally get some cash and make it onto a train as the doors close around me... the rest is history.. well, actually - it's present, but more on that later...

This is me, today.
