So, I have a couple of pictures that I have taken up on a couple of websites now, just as of lastnight. I am in the process of submitting my pictures to Alamy, A stock website... Will be interesting to see how it goes - or - it will be a waste of time, but, at least I will know.
I need a couple more lenses and a flash, I have decided... I was trying to choose between the Canon EF100mm f2.8 Macro and the Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 lens... I'd also like a zoom lens and will be renting the CANON EF 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6 L IS USM sometime soon...
Canon have released the new flash - the 580EX II... Based on the fact that my mate Nathan has the 580EX and that it is fantastic... I reckon this one will be a ripper!... With extra little things like being Water and Dust resistant.. it's right up my alley!...Here are some of its new features: Approx. 20% faster recycling time compared to 580EX
Superior build quality, including a metal foot for higher rigidity
Max. Guide No. 58 at 105mm setting (GN 190, feet)
Auto conversion of flash coverage with compatible digital SLR cameras
White Balance info communicated instantly to compatible digital SLR cameras
Full swivel, 180° in either direction
AF-assist beam, compatible with all AiAF points on every EOS SLR
Dust- and water- resistance to match the EOS-1D Mark III
Well... enough dreaming, time to sleep!
Will I ever sell a photo?...

Dreams, dreams. I too spend my time wondering what it would be like to open by camera bag and find a full set of L series lenses waiting there for me. I could literally get my wage paid straight to canon and get a new lens every week. Alas, i can't live off lenses alone. Why do you want the 100-400, aren't you better off with the 70-200 2.8 given most of the time you won't need more than 200mm and it's got a better optical quality and is faster (which you'll need at such a long focal length)? The 580EX does look like a beauty - but the ultimate dream surely has to be the 1Ds Mark III to go underneath it. Quick get selling photos - or your body or you soul - money is needed, and lots of it, quick...
That's why I want to try the 100-400... i'm not sure yet.
L Series sure are nice, but hey... who needs em!...lol..ok..I DO!...
May still go with a Metz...hmmm
